ABOUT MADDIE

The Other side of the camera

Maddie’s love for storytelling doesn’t quit… even when the camera’s not on them. They have worked on many different productions, both live and filmed, in a handful of different positions.

Their most recent endeavor of Secrets From a Woman’s Restroom is one they are most excited about. Maddie took on editing the documentary, as well as being the 1st Assistant Director on set. They were ready to make the jump to take on these rolls because of the female-forward story with the hopes of giving women their voice back … and leaping out of their comfort zone is where Maddie learns the most.

A secret has haunted the women's restroom for the past year. Three best friends decide it's time to make their voices heard to help give other women the same opportunity.

Maddie has written for AMDA’s first ever multi-cam sitcom A Shoulder to Kill On, directed by Jeremy Kent Jackson. A Shoulder to Kill On is currently in post production. This project taught Maddie how to work as a team toward a singular goal, maintaining artistic autonomy while being open to change, and what to expect as a staff writer, something they are very interested in. Along with writing for this project, Maddie also emceed the 3 day shoot, making sure the live studio audience was entertained and ready to laugh.

Cast and Crew of A Shoulder to Kill On

Along with A shoulder to Kill On, Maddie also wrote, directed, produced, and acted in an original short film titled Ray’s. This project was something that Maddie was especially excited for because Maddie got to see through from an idea to an actual film. Ray’s is a psychological thriller that is The Twilight Zone meets Black Mirror with a touch of WandaVision. Maddie intends to use Ray’s as proof of concept to further develop the image.
