Maddie Bernstein is a queer actor, writer, producer, and director. Maddie was dropped on their head after bring born (true story) and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Maddie’s intense passion for comedy, improvisation, and general silly goosery can be attributed to them watching SNL when they were far too young to understand it. They would perform skits for their family at every holiday diner, mimicking jokes that clearly went over their head, but this never slowed their stride. Maddie turned their admiration of sketch and stand-up comedy into a love of writing, thus beginning an entirely new artistic venture Maddie never thought they would pursue. Maddie still continues to write and perform comedy, involving themselves with improvisational groups, and of course, still watches SNL.
